FAQ

Does Plus include the PSD files?
No. Plus is the browser editor and the Figma plugin: every mockup in the Plus library, rendered online, with no source files to download. The Photoshop PSD files are only sold on mockups.directory, per mockup or per collection.
How much faster is it, really?
Seconds against minutes. Drop your design once and try ten mockups in the time one PSD takes to open. Over a month, that adds up to hours for designers who use many mockups.
Do I need Photoshop or After Effects?
No. Stills and video render in the browser. If mockups were the reason you kept a Photoshop subscription, that is a few hundred euros a year you can stop paying.
Why subscribe instead of buying a collection?
Plus is access to everything: every mockup, every collection, and everything we release while you are in. The entire store as a bundle costs €1000 in our shop; with Plus it is €50 a month. Buying a single asset still makes sense when a campaign needs double the resolution.
What happens when I cancel?
You keep access until the period you paid for ends, and everything you rendered stays licensed forever. The Standard Licence does not expire with the subscription. Cancelling costs you the future, not the past.
Do I have to download heavy files?
Never. No gigabyte PSDs, no source folders, no installs. Everything streams in the browser and exports as plain JPG, PNG or MP4.
What quality are the renders?
Images export at 3000 by 2000 pixels, sharp enough for decks, portfolios and print. Need double that? The source files on mockups.directory render larger, and Plus subscribers get 30% off there. Video mockups export as ready-to-use MP4 and are currently in beta.

Getting started

Add your designDrop or paste a file onto the artboard on the left. We support JPG, PNG, SVG, PDF, AVIF, WebP, HEIC, MP4 and MOV. Vectors stay crisp at any output size.

Pick a mockupOpen the Browse panel or start typing anywhere. The catalog filters live as you type. Click a tile to load it; hover to see your design pre-composed.

Adjust the placementDrag inside the screen area to reposition, scroll to scale, hold shift to rotate. The Tools pill opens saturation, opacity, blend mode, noise and per-slot color.

Render and downloadPress the green Render button or hit Enter. For video, pick a quality preset under the button first. The Download pill saves the result locally.
Accounts and signing in
Magic-link sign-inOpen Account from the top-right and enter your email. We send a one-time 6-digit code that signs you in for ~30 days on this device. No password, no third-party SSO.
Use the same email as your store accountYour editor login should match the email you used on mockups.directory. That's how purchases get linked to your library and how the Plus discount auto-applies at checkout.
Library auto-syncsBought a mockup or subscribed in another tab? Your library picks it up within a few seconds. If the gate is up when access lands, it dismisses itself and the render continues.
Access follows your emailYour your organisation admin adds team members by email. Sign in with the address they added and the library unlocks on its own.
Not on the team yet?Ask the person responsible for mockups in your organisation to add you. Admins manage the team from Account.
Signing outAccount → Log out. Your work-in-progress stays in this tab, but you'll lose access to gated mockupsthe library until you sign back in.
Preview and render
PreviewWhat you see live in the editor: a fast, lower-resolution composite with a faint dot-grid watermark baked into the pixels. Available on every mockup, no login needed.
RenderThe full-resolution, watermark-free export. Images come out as JPG (PNG available from the format toggle); videos default to MP4 with WebM and MOV options.
Why some mockups gate at renderPreview is open on every mockup. Full-quality rendering requires either a Plus subscription or a one-off license for that specific mockup. The gate at render time has both paths.
Everything in your library renders in fullEvery mockup in the your organisation library renders at full resolution, watermark-free. Nothing is gated and nothing needs to be bought.
Re-rendering at a different qualityAfter a video render, the toolbar lets you pick a different preset. Picking one that wasn't rendered swaps the Download button into "Render video". Click to re-render at the new quality.
Licenses
StandardIncluded with every render. Personal projects, internal decks, social posts at normal reach, portfolio use. No paid client work or paid campaigns.
CommercialNot included in Plus. A separate upgrade you buy per mockup on mockups.directory (or via the "Upgrade to Commercial License" link on the result screen). For client work and paid projects. Already purchased one? Reach out and we'll sort it.
Commercial PlusAlso a separate upgrade (not included in Plus). Unlimited-reach use: campaigns, ads, packaging, large-scale distribution. Same product page, separate tier.
Plus subscribers get 30% offActive Plus subscribers get 30% off any Commercial or Commercial Plus licence, auto-applied when you sign in on Shopify with the same email as your editor account.
